The Gate Darkroom (Unit 0, Studio U0-03) is run by a group of emerging artists who in 2011 set up a not-for-profit photographic darkroom as a community interest company.

Previously located in New Cross Gate they moved to Thames-Side Studios in May 2017. The Gate Darkroom is aimed at budding artists, photographers, students and all who wish to work with black and white darkroom photographic processes in a communal and supportive environment. They offer open access days, key-holder access, workshops and courses.
